Beside CMSimple's own editor - oEDIT - it is possible to include online Editors which provide the editing person with more features. If you decide to use such an “external” online editor keep in mind: Most online editors are HTML editors and no code editors. That means that PHP scripting may be saved the wrong way by these editors by transforming specific code characters into their HTML counterparts (diacritic conversion - such as “single quotation mark” into “'”). This may then lead to a non-functioning script. Probably the only editor which does not do this is CMSimple's own oEDIT.

Please note, that none of these editors are compatible with CMSimple_XH 1.5 and up. Since CMSimple_XH 1.5 the default editor is tinyMCE, and as alternatives currently are available CKEditor and Codeeditor_XH.
